Hugh-Baby's Impresses Hometown Daily The Tennessean
Huge thanks to the folks at The Tennessean for such a wonderful review. It always makes us feel like we're doin' pretty good when our hometown friends can stop by and appreciate what we're cookin' up.
Tennessean writer and chef Nancy Vienneau brought her whole family by for the visit and even sampled one of our surprise hits: the veggie burger. If y'all haven't tried it yet, you better get back to Hugh-Baby's and order one. It quickly became Nancy's husband's favorite veggie burger in town, and we've got a feeling it could become yours, too.
"It’s old-school delicious; it captures the character of burgers I can remember eating at soda fountain shops as a youth. Truth be told, though, the quality of Hugh-Baby’s ingredients is better. Same goes for the fries, which have all the hallmarks of made-from-scratch — thin, irregular cuts holding bits of peel cooked to deep brown crisp and dusted in a peppery seasoning.
